Just when I think that I've got my bride figured out she comes up with ways to amaze me. Usually I'm the one that is up and in the barn before dawn, not this morning. I was awakened with a kiss and the words "I'm Going Shopping, I can't sleep anyway". I know that Susie can really sniff out a bargain, and this is the biggest shopping day of the year and she loves being with people, but she's been gone shopping for six hours now, just when I thought...maybe that's the problem, thinking...gotta stop trying to use equipment that's not up to the job.
Will be fun to see what we couldn't live without...God, I love that woman. Dave Mc

My wife, who can sleep until 1:00 p.m. or later (going to bed at 8:00 the night before) gets a strange disease this time of year.

I stayed up late last night, and this morning I awoke to her van pulling into the garage. Yes, she left at 4:30 to get the specials, and was back for 6:00. She then promptly went back to sleep. Been married 13 years, but this disease has no remedy. I only smile and offer her breakfast when she wakes up.

Better have a pile of money I can sleep with my hand on.
The first time there ain't breakfast, lunch or supper its going to be as wild here as being locked in a phone booth with a wildcat.

Dave, trust me on this....you will no more figure your wife out than she will figure you out. I honestly don't think God ever intended members of the opposite sex to be ABLE to figure each other out! He included too many variables, not to mention minds that work in different ways! I think it is pretty much summed up with the phrase 'variety is the spice of life!' ;-)

Guess I'm one of the few women that absolutely positively HATE to shop. I dont like crowds, I dont like the mall, and no way am I gonna get up at 4:30 am to get to a store the day after Thanksgivin that opens at 5am.....nothin against women that can do that. I always end up havin a terrible time Christmas shoppin because I put it off so long. Tell myself every year I'm gonna start earlier, it just never happens. I don't even like to grocery shop...love to cook.....
Am I just weird or what???

Last year I got conned/bribed into going shopping with my wife on "Black Friday". NEVER AGAIN!! Standing in a crowd of 500 crazed, wild-eyed, women waiting for the department doors to open at 5:00 AM is insane. I did pick up a few lessons in animal behavior though, that might come in handy in the ranch operation.

Red I was startin to think mighty highly of you, this definitely shows an error in judgement, you don't listen to Barry Manalow do you?
Heck I would have just as soon seen Quannah Parker and a Commanche War Party than 500 women at a walmart both are extremely dangerous.

My daughter and I tried that black Friday thing once.... never again. I have discovered online shopping, no crowds, no hassels, no stupid sales people.

jersey lilley i am right with ya....i hate shopping too, i only go to the mall to exchange tools from sears, it just aint i me to shop till i drop. i am too much of a tight wad i reckon.
i do like to go to some auctions, i still dont buy much unless its a steal, i like to go and visit and look at the junk and watch the people pay way to much biddin against each other. :P

I just dont get it.So many people getting aggravated and frustrated, in what is supposed to be the most joyous time of year. How did it all come to all this commercialization?? Some of the folks driving skills are more like tank driver trainees. And then they say the average person goes into debt for 8,000.00 for Christmas. Not us that's for sure.

Crowder, when you get that figured out would you please let me know? That's something that I don't understand as well.

Money is getting fed to retailers right? Are they putting it back into circulation? NO! Target has community programs, and endorses Homosexual Rights.Thats one to stay away from for sure.Maybe some of the other retailers do give back to the community, but I suspect most are just lining some "Fat Cat" CEO's pockets thicker.
