Gold Medals

Each of my granddaughters came home from Austin with 3 gold medals. Their school won the state championship. Couldn't be more proud!

Coach they won the 4 by 100, they won the 4 by 400. Three sophomores and my eldest granddaughter a senior. They should have won the 4 by 200 but there was a bad transfer and a weaker runner on that relay team. Team mates won hurdles, placed etc. They had a 2 point lead going in to the final relay. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trophies were hinged on that race. They won so they won the title and another gold for all members of the track team that qualified for state.

Eldest granddaughter is a senior graduating valedictorian. She goes out with a bang. All State 4 years in basketball. Picked as one of the 9 "Elite" basketball Texxas Team this year.

2nd granddaughter is one of the sophomores.

Youngest granddaughter is coming up from the 8th grade. They're all calling her "reload". Big Shoes to fill and I hope she does not disappoint. Lots of pressure and expectations. Just being "good" would probably disappoint many. Eldest holds 7 school records, total which includes relays. Sophomore holds records on relay teams so far. No individuals for her yet.

They've all played select basketball in the DFW circuits since they were little things.

No sir. They're all 2 years apart. They eldest and the youngest could almost pass for identical twins and they're 4 years apart.
