That is a friends place. Alot of protein feeders and a high fence.

He has a never ending list of city slickers who will pay between $5,000.00 to $10,000.00 to shoot a buck like this.
Believe it or not this is a small buck compared to the ones in deep south Texas. I hear Canada has some real big deer if you can take the cold weather.

yes yes we do!!! HUGE, Like Monsters!! Yall can come hunt up here if you want! Ill show you the ropes! :P Tho i dont hunt! But the deer are nice and big!! Well at least in my neck of the woods!Like way bigger than those tiny thangs!!! What are they minitures?:lol: :lol: Thats liek a baby deer!!

I am glad you posted this because i had forgot all about our free hunting trip on our friends farm this winter. :D I know it was a while back since we last planned the trip out but we can not let a free hunting trip like that slip our minds. :D

But i can not remember where i was suppose to meet you and so we can ride on down there to hunt and was we suppose to go opening day of bow season or was it the opening day of rifle season ? :lol:

I don't believe I would pay money to hunt deer in a high fence ranch. I know its pretty much impossible to grow trophy deer on free range but it feels a lot better to kill a deer on a fair chase hunt. Those high fence deer don't make in the record books either. I think I might have started something here. Pretty controversial issue :D

ROCK, nice pix anyway. I was pretty sure the fence was there, but there is always a chance that you had a honey hole somewhere. For me it becomes no longer hunting just merely livestock. Anyway no need to go to Canada we have the real thing in N MN. :D

Yes, hunting high fence property is very controversial. To me its like walking in a zoo, just take your pick. To the land owner its all about money. Hunting over a feeder is also controversial. Some states will not allow you to bait the deer (hunt over a feeder)

Ya, I hate to say it, being a Texan, but our deer are not that big body wise. :( 150 lb deer is a very big deer in my area.

I need to get a good camera and take some pics of the deer around here. :D

There are free range deer on some of the ranches I hunt hogs on that will go 23, 26" with 13,16, or who know how many points. 150,000 acres and only family can hunt deer. :(

I would never hunt a high fenced game ranch... but I would like to own one. Kind of hypocritical huh? :)

Stepper, The one buck is a 22 inch 8 pt. and the other is a 21 inch 11 pt. It's not unusual to have mature bucks with only 8 pts up here, but on the other hand we have 12 pt bucks and more.
