I've always been one to set goals for myself both small and large. Some of them lofty and some are just easily obtainable to give me some sense of accomplishment and keep a little wind in my sails. Last week I reached one of the largest goals I ever set for myself and though this goal had been my obsession for many years and the driving force for me to work many long hours and seven day work weeks, once reached it was no more eventful than a bug hitting my windshield. All the little perks I had promised myself I'd give myself when I reached this goal no longer seemed to matter. No longer did I have the desire to reward myself as I had planned in the earlier years. It just finally came to fruition and that was that. So how do you set your goals or do you? And once reached, what do you do? Reward yourself or do you just create another set of goals and plug on?
