Been perusing the big July issue of HW. My friend Day has a full page color ad again this year, and Polledstad features the same bull in his ad. I used to own this bull's paternal half brother, and my oldest son has a daughter of that bull that he shows in 4H.
There are a number of bulls that I like in here, more on that later.
I am (and have been for years) impressed by the sheer numbers and the accuracies they represent for M-M Ranch of Chanute, Kansas. 900 females. Individual data collected on over 400 carcasses each year through retained ownership feedlot program. All bulls and replacement heifers are completely performance tested and ultrasounded with Residual Feed Intake measurement at Green Springs Bull Test and University of MO-Columbia. They had 13 dams of distinction in 07. They use several Felton or Felton influenced bulls. Of the 11 herd sires they have listed, only one is negative for IMF, Star 29F Boomer 208R. One, EF K334 Crown Beef N014 has not only a .90 REA EPD, but it is coupled with a .41 IMF EPD.
Anybody personally familiar with this outfit?

2004 North Platte Feeders GOP outreach results on their steers, ADG 4.9, conversion 4.35, test averages 4 and 5.22 I believe.
