Young Heifer If she is bred should be calving end of October, have not had her checked yet. She is developing a bag already, My others never got a bag until they calved. Do some breeds develop a bag early? My best guess is that she is Angus and Holstein mix.

Mine begin showing changes at about five months gestation. I had one family who were more advanced than the others, wondered if something had gone amiss with my plans. They just had more milk.

If your calculation is correct (due late Oct) she is only 4 months pregnant. No, she would NOT be developing an udder. If she is, she is due probably in next 60 days. If not, she may have fat in the udder - which is not a good thing.

Similar problem here.Heifer is due on 30th of September. Started developing some swelling since 3+ months gestation. No interaction with bulls before.

I hope that she won't abort her calf. Hopefully, it's just showing that she'll be an extreme milker.
