With all the concern about football concussions and their long-term affects...now we see Dale Jr. stepping out of the #88 for at least two races (some are saying maybe for the season).
 
This sure surprised me. His comments after the crash were very critical and pointed a pretty big finger at NASCAR. I didn't think he took that big of a hit compared to the ride Tony took but it must have been bad enough.

From other sources, I see his hit at Dega was 20G and his hit at Kansas in a tire test was 80G. Serious stuff.
 
I think that kind of stuff is cumulative. The wreck that finally killed Neil Bonnet wasn;t as serious as others that had over the years.
