They had 3 dogs only one died. There was spilled medication that the dead dog could have ingested. The time of death will tell a lot. If she died first he could have been attempting to leave the house. Classic case of not enough information to draw a conclusion.

As a side note. He and I were raised within 10 miles of each other. But to be fair he was a better actor!

He was also a US Marine... a pre-ww2 China Marine.
Now, he's a dead Marine.
China Marines hold a kinda special place in Marine Corps lore because of being so far flung from the rest of the Corps and always WAY outnumbered by warlord's mob armies.

He was in the Marines post WW2. Born in 1930. A bit young to be a Marine pre WW2. He served in China and Japan after WW2 and before Korea broke out.
Gene Hackman death investigation update announced.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff's office held a news conference Friday, and revealed Hackman's pacemaker was last working on February 17th, according to Fox News.

Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza told the media it's a "very good assumption" that's the day Hackman died.

That means Hackman might have been dead for nine days before his body was found. That's incredibly sad.

The authorities also announced the legendary actor and Arakawa both "tested negative for carbon monoxide." That confirms earlier reports that there were no signs of a gas leak and testing on-site showed no issues.

So, they've probably been dead for 9 days. I wonder, Did the investigators check to see if there was any old soup, porridge or other food on the stove that may have been toxic?
