FUZZY Cows

down here in paradise we have a few months of cold weather (the last few days have been rough) and the calves will put on a winter coat but while putting out some hay last night I noticed a lot of the cows seemed fuzzier than normal. not all of them and mainly the younger cows. my question is can they make their hair fluff out to battle the cold. I know birds will do that. just curious

Mine are like the snow shoe hare or artic fox. They are black in the summer and turn white in the winter.
