My son gave me a newborn calf, was born last Friday. When they found it, he was all by himself in the snow. Other than that, he is doing well, eating well, and no scours or snotty nose. Has one eye that has a little gunk in the corner, but nothing major. Anyway, I think it has a little frostbite on his nose, has a piece of skin kinda hanging there. I told everyone to leave it alone, let it fall off by itself. Am I being overprotective?

Nose peeling is also indicative of having a fever recently, have you taken his temp ?
