Not what most traders are looking for, but we just needed 2 steers to feed out for beef. Beltie is a grass-only yearling-$500, smaller calf is a Lim x jersey 5 mo old former bottle calf-$700. Both private sales-no sale barn bugs. Had to drive a bit, but we're happy

I just got a beltie steer back from the butcher around Christmas time. Once the hide is off I can't tell them apart from any other beefer.

Nope-both were single steers. We small buyers can catch a break every so often. Both are tame-ish and feed trained also. Calm steers=tasty steers

Same here. I've been watching CL, sale groups, everything possible to find some "off brand" calves. Really pleased with these. I even offered the Beltie owner more, he said $500. He didn't need another steer

I think you did just great... and the beltie ought to be well marbled and not as much back fat to be trimmed...
