found a molar out in the pasture

I found a cow molar out in the pasture this morning. Looked shiny in spots so it can't be that old. I read where cows have baby teeth like we do, and they'll lose them at 2 yrs or so. Everyones eating just fine, and the "herd" ranges from 14 months to 4 years. Anything else I should keep an eye out for?
 
Nothing to watch for. If you habve a bunch around 18 months you may see a lot more. If you look at the toth closely you'll see that the bottom (the jaw part) looks pretty much loke the top of another tooth. That's what the new tooth will look like and will be grown in very quickly
 
Thanks Dun, I figured as much. I liken findin a tooth to be about like finding the sack of a banded steer. Haven't run across that one yet
 
I found a squashed trichobezoar (hairball) lying in the lane leading up to the barnlot on Thursday. Looked like one of those that I find in the rumen from time to time on adult cows - sometimes they have a hard mineralized coat on the outside; but this one had been run over with the ATV no telling how many times before I spotted it.
