Going to look at a Ford / New Holland 8340 over the weekend.
Any one have any experience with them? Good / Bad
Anything to look out for on these models?

It needs a cab kit, but it' doesn't look like the make at kit, you just buy the padded vinyl and glue it to the cab. Is that hard to do?

Thanks in advance.

SL or SLE...? There is a difference in the transmission, hydraulics, and 3pt. The SLE is a much better tractor IMO, but has more electronics to contend with. The genesis motor and rest of the drivetrain are reliable as long as it's been maintained.

Did you buy it?

I've never owned a 40 series, but the biggest complaint I've heard from those who do is electrical issues.

They sold it before I could get there. I ended up with a New holland TS110

The TS110 is a good tractor but the little 4cyl motor doesn't have near the torque or lugging power that the 6cyl in the 8340 has. Depending on what you plan on doing with it you you may not mind. I myself find the 4cyl is working it's guts out to achieve full pto or drawbar power.
