Good points. Most on here share something in common, that being the love of cattle. But other than that, we are all different. Some are patient and thoughful, some are not. Some like to build themselves up by tearing others down. Just like the real world.
Keep asking questions and most will give good, honest answers. Just remember, when someone gives a smart-alec answer, or acts as if they're looking down their nose at you, they are usually trying to compensate for their own shortcomings. You are better than them. Period.

the way i feel about it is ask the question anyway. if you really need to know you need to know. so what if somebody intimidates you? for the most part we are grown ups on here. this isnt 4th grade. recess? yeah right! for every smart ass answer you get you should get the same amount of sincere ones (at least in pm if not publically) and NORMALLY there will be someone standing up for you when somebody else gets out of line.
also i cannot stress enough the importance of having good facilities BEFORE you get even one cow. i just cant imagine anyone not having a chute or at least a headgate and owning cattle. *baffled*

There are professional cattlemen and women on this board. To them this is business. Their outlook and perspective is going to differ from those of us who raise cattle as a sideline.
You have the right to spend your nickels however you choose. You have chosen cows. I appreciate that. There are those out there spending their nickels on drugs, alcohol or other lose/lose endeavors.
You could become a professional yourself some day. Playing with cattle sure beats the heck out of playing with many other things.
After I turned 40, my eyes seemed to turn much older than I did. So I can understand the all caps comment. It is no issue to make a big deal out of. I simply hope your eyes stay young your whole life and you don't have to relate to this.

There are some that have done the same to me. I think that it's just that some people respond differntly and have different personalities. Some will answer questions in pieces and expect you to put the together. Myself, I don't mind sitting here all night if I know that I can help someone out. I don't know where/who came up with caps being yelling. Every" I "that I place in a sentence is hollering too I guess but," i" doesn't look right in lower case.
