I have a cow that I think has foot rot, I got her up and gave her a dose of la200, well,after a couple of days she did'nt get any better. She had a calf 3 days ago and I can't get her to come to the barn, I'm sure she will come in a day or two she normally does all her thinkin with her stomach. My question is how long can you go with foot rot before it is too long?

Not long before real problems. Need to get her up and on antibiotics, also spray there hooves down out of a pump sprayer with a 10% clorox solution. If you had been supplementing iodine cow wouldn't be suffering now.

One problem we had last fall with foot rot was in a field of bermuda. It was dry no mudholes and still had numerous cases of foot rot. Some kind of micronutrient in the soil I guess. Started using a preventative vaccine on the later calves and had purt near no problems out of them.
