If the word insults someone then the word served its purpose because they should be ashamed to have that label. If I use the words white trash you have a clear understanding of what I'm talking about just as you do when I use the N word. Heck, the blacks I know know exactly what the N word means and they use it just as I do.
I recently went to a small British island and met many blacks who really impressed me. Next door they were building a large hotel and 80% of the people working on the hotel were black. I spoke to some of the workers about how they were doing masonry and stucco and they were very helpful and very intelligent and very hard working and they spoke better English than I did. Quite frankly, I was in awe at their work ethic and how they worked like a well oiled machine and I was intrigued because I have never seen so many blacks working in my life. All I see are these young men walking down the street with their britches hanging around their knees and a hand on their crotch bragging and these young single brood mares standing in line with their EBT cards in hand.
If you think I am a racist so be it but before you judge me I welcome you to immerse yourself in my world and see first hand what I'm talking about - or watch that Hardcore Pawn show. Even the blacks on the island said the American blacks are sorry as $hit when they have every opportunity in the world laid at the feet. (their words not mine)
I will treat everyone fairly and equally but my respect doesn't come with an EBT card and you have to earn it. If someone has no more respect for their children, their race or their country then I have little use for them and they deserve to be called white trash, spic, wop or the word we can't speak. Oh, and that word is derived from latin and French so maybe it doesn't show ignorance after all.
I will admit that after talking to the guys on the island I began to feel a bit guilty about some of my "racist" views and upon reflection I thought I'd start out on a new enlightened foot when I got home. Upon arrival back to the States we had a small tribe bust in line like it was owed them. Also, no sooner than I started to leave the parking deck at the airport had another one pull right out in front of me and almost caused a wreck. Then I knew I was home and I was no longer amongst black people.
While I am on my soapbox and am well past getting this thread locked I'll also add that I was really disappointed in Obama when he had the perfect opportunity to become the much needed leader in the black community by saying look what someone can accomplish in America if you try. He had the perfect opportunity to heal any racial riff and set an example to the black community. Instead, he did just the opposite and continued to blame others and play the race card. I guess he knew that whenever someone from the black community rises up and mentions the words self reliance and personal accountability they are labled a sell out or an Uncle Tom and if a white person does the same they are labeled a racist.
I still maintain I am not a racist. Heck, much to the dismay of some of the neighbors I rented a house to a mixed couple. They were good people but some of the neighbors had strong words with me but feck em. Good people are good people no matter the color of the skin and sorry is sorry. I just hate sorry people and if you want to see some sorry blacks I can show you a passle. Can also show you some sorry whites too and I'll continue to use whatever adjectives best describes the person. (and feel free to call me a racist if you choose)
