I am looking for a flap holster or a pommel holster for the left side of the saddle. I am left handed. Needs to be big enough to hold a ruger blackhawk with a 6 1/2 barrel. Thought maybe some of you folks may know somebody who works with leather. I don't need anything fancy and don't want to give my right arm for one either.

Bianchi has a nylon univeral flap holster but I don;t know how big they make them. They're supposed to be for semi-autos but I carry a 2 3/4 inch Security Six and a 3 inch Taurus 9 shot 22 revolver in them.
Unless you need the flap for protection from the elements or junk , Uncle Mikes has nylon strap retaining holsters that work really well. I used to carry a Contender in one, many moons ago.

Dun, you are right Uncle Mikes does some pretty neat stuff. I carry a 40 cal in one with just the strap across the top. I kind of want the leather full flap for protection from the elements. I get caught in the rain down here a lot plus I sometimes ride on National park property so I don't want to advertise it is there. We can now carry for self defence in our parks down here.
There is a gun show here next weekend maybe I can find something there. I just thought maybe somebody new a leather smith. I found some on the web for like $190. :shock:
