I'm getting ready to order a set of pallet forks for my loader tractor. I 've been around floating forks before, but never used fixed ones. The salesman said he prefers fixed. There is $90 difference between the two. I only plan on buying one set of forks for the life of this tractor so the difference in price doesn't matter to me.
What had been everyone's experience?

Mine floats as I really don't see any advantage. I would get the fixed.

Floating forks hang level any time your tilted level or down from level.
Great for getting in a pallet on level ground., But uses pallet forks for picking up pallets. LoL.
Try getting under something laying on the ground where you need to skim into the ground a little. Or pick up a piece of equipment where you need to go through the frame in some form or fashion. Much better with fixed forks. Lots of other examples.
