Fitbit watches..........

I got my wife a Fitbit Inspire HR for her birthday and the one she had been wearing a Fitbit Versa I got her for Christmas looked more like something a man would wear so I took it. She loves her Fitbit and talks about it everyday. Since I have been wearing the Versa I average 18000-20000 steps per day 8-10 miles on an average day to try and hold the fort down around here. She on a good day maybe gets 8000-10000 steps. I won this award yesterday as I ended up with over 21000 steps almost 10 miles. It also shows your heart rate, calories burned and a lot of other info. I am pretty hard on watches, getting them hung on things, the crystals broke etc. so I will see how it holds up. Anybody else have one?

Wife wears one averages 10,000 steps a day. After her heart attack couple years ago she is religious on her walking.
I average a little over 2 miles a day.

If I walk 100 or 200 yards both knees and hips give out. I am not going to get any of the artificial joints any time soon just so I can walk instead of riding.

I used a phone app to track my steps for a while.. I got about 20k by lunch when I had lots of irrigation pipes to move

Run a pole saw or a chainsaw or hoe the garden or bust wood with a maul and your steps add up beyond belief. I had a fitbit and threw it in the garbage.

Every time you swing your arm it is a step.

though swinging a hoe probably takes as much energy as taking a step, so in that sense it might not be too far off

My phone can keep track of the steps I take. I just take it out several times a day and shake it for a few minutes so I can show my wife how much exercise I am getting ;-)

I wore one on 2 different days. Averaged 30,000 steps both days from work and farming after work . Too depressing so I never put it on anymore .

I quit looking at mine for this reason. Fished a bass tournament. It showed I walked 10 miles and I never got out of the boat.

I had 29000 steps yesterday and it felt like it.
