First time Ai

Hi. So I havent posted in awile its been fairly dry here. I have 3 black baldy cows about to drop second calf and 1 hand rared fresian heifer about to drop her first calf. 2 will calve to a char and 2 to an angus.

I have just purchased 4 x speckle park straws and my local Ai guy will synchronise over 3 days and on the third day inseminate. All very exciting.

We would go natural detection but we are synchronising to help make it easier around my full time job.

Calving and breeding is always an exciting time for us.
So, you have 4 head to breed after they calve, and you bought 4 straws of semen?
You do realize that AI breeding is NOT 100% successful?? Especially, synchronizing.
What is your back-up plan to get them all bred? Will you turn out a bull?

Hi. Yes i will try a bull as back up afterwards with a gap of 1 month. How many out of four do you think i will get?
