Born about 9:30 pm last night.

TT: this is one I moved into the bull pen yesterday afternoon to prevent a repeat of the Great Log Jam Fiasco. I watched the whole birth from the window.

Great lookin calf. I'm starting to think ours are heavier at birth than I thought they were. That doesn't "look" like 85 pounds to me but I don't weigh ours.

I guessed him at 75 last night. I use a bathroom scales. I was surprised.
 
I will speculate on this. I have a theory that calves are heavier than most producers assume. I am always underestimating their weight.

I test my bathroom scales measurements. I cannot find an error. I wish their was! So far my calves have gone 95, 94, 85. No one likes that but as best I can tell; that is what it is!
