Had planned on preg checking this old longhorn Saturday and butchering soon if she was open, but she beat me to it and had a heifer calf on Friday. She was bred by a polled hereford and calf is actually decent sized for a small cow. I already called the sale barn and told them they had a year and a half to get their scales beefed up because this one will be mashing 'em down.

....and for mrvictordomino, I watched 022 breed that longhorn the day after I brought him home. 022 will be crossing a couple fences this summer over to a neighbor who has a very successful grass finishing operation and runs about 60 mammas and I think he is pretty excited about using him. I am looking forward to seeing some more of his calves, couldn't be happier with him. Thanks.
