9 days early, a Connealy Courage 25L heifer calf, 70#, out of an Absolute heifer. We have two other heifers due on the 17th out of small group sync we did

I really didn't think she was progressing at all for 40 minutes. I was keeping my distance, but yall know its hard not to watch and be anxious. Feet and just nose was as far as she'd get each time. She had been getting up and down, but the last 20 I saw, she stayed down. So I decided to give her space and headed to the house for about 25 minutes. Came back and before I could even hop over fence, I could see a calf walking around. Never stops being exciting and surprising, that's one of the reasons I love this stuff!! Within the next 20 minutes, calf had sucked on all four teats. Lively calf, honestly was like it was 4-5 days old with how much vigor she had

Very nice pair!! I checked out your Facebook page... are those wild pheasants or pen raised birds?
Had to been pen raised, someone a mile down the road been raising them and releasing them scattered about. They don't last too long with the coyotes and such. They were nice to look at for a few weeks
