We bought a little farm back in 2022. I call it home base. It’s only about 1/4mile from the farm I rent and has a pretty big concrete lot and big ol red cattle barn.
I have line bunk space for about forty cows in the lot but have never kept that many there mainly because of the water situation.
My poor cows have had to take turns drinking out of a one hole Ritchie hog drinker. It’s worked, we’ve got by. But I’ve always said when I got time I was putting in a cattle fountain.
The hog fountain was about in the middle of the pic and I had strong hold panels behind it because the fence was junk.
It’s like all my projects, where do you start and where do you stop. I figured while I have the digger on I might as well redo the fence going west along the north side.
We’re going to clean out the cement water tank and see if it will still hold water. The people before us just threw junk in it.
