and a beautiful daughter they grow up so fast
my youngest is 15 now and the oldest 25 the 2 oldest have all ready made us grandparents twice with a 3rd on the way in July
It just kinda hits you when someone asks how old your youngest is and you tell them then you think that can't be right as that would make me so and so age then you realize that you REALLY are that old

That is why I have a hard time figuring out why Jed has such a hard time finding help
he has a beautiful teenage daughter
every time I hear that song on the radio
"Farmers Daughter" it reminds me of Jed's daughter but then I guess Jed would be busy all the time watching his help with a shotgun and not getting any work done so maybe the boys know that and just stay away :lol: :lol:

When they go out you need to be sitting there sharpening your knife and tell him you will still be there sharpening it when they get home. :P

The fat steers go to JBS in Plainwell Michigan. The only way to put together those kind of numbers on the babies is through a calf dealer, and I got one that is fair and honest. The calves pictured came from Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Ohio. They are about 6 weeks old and cost $82 each. I've already contracted 1 load of those for April of 2012 $1.08.

That's one fine lookin operation. The cattle look good. The kids all look great. Not sure about the old fat slacker but he looks like he has done his time and worked his share. Nice job all the way around.

Thanks 3way, the boy on the right lives down the road, the one in the middle goes to Church with us, the one on the left just showed up on the day new calves came in and worked so hard I kept him. I also have a high school girl that works for me Anna, if she finds out she missed out on the picture, I'll be in trouble :lol2: . So there may be a picture forthcoming of just me and Little Ann.

Thanks Jeanne, with those old farm houses you just don't ask why. The view you are seeing is a side view, the part with no windows was original and the part with windows was a later addition all years before my time, then we added the garage.
