Here's a few pics I took late fall. Our cattle were grazing our "3rd cutting" on our new land acquired 3 years ago.
This is a overall view of our farm from the new land looking East.

Cattle very content (current scene is major different now!!! - cows are content but on snow)

Jeanne, nice pictures but amount to "cruel and unusual punishment" with the freezing rain on top of snow and ice along with coming falling temperatures we have coming tonight... but still very nice pictures.

I have the same problem with pictures not showing full size even when posted as usual. Must have been a software change here in the past week or so but not handling pictures as before.

Can the registered Simmi's have the blaze face? I understand that they are all a percentage, aren't they, but do they have to be a solid color? I remember the old multi-colored ones in the 70's, also remember the 30 inch long t-bones. :D gs

All the cattle you see are purebred Simmental. The Simmental breed never made any restrictions on color. The blaze face is a strong indicator of the Simmental Breed.

Flavor of grass?? This is land we acquired 3 years ago. Hubby no-tilled Red Clover, Orchard Grass, Perrinial Rye (sp?), and Festulim (a Rye x Fescue). We had taken two cuts of hay off of it (first cutting is the white lines you can see in the farm pic).
