Fertilized friday morning. 3o,10,0 granular. Got .1 Sunday morning followed by constant light mist, now monday morning has turned to light freezing drizzle. Fertilizer was broadcast onto grazed down oats and rygrass.. Opinions on this weather and nitrogen loss????

Thanks m5. I have always Heard a very light rain could cause nitrogen loss. Although rain total is less than.2 i think im ok , its been wet for about 30 hours and still misting. I think the cold weather should be good also? i can control the weather it seems with fertilizer. If i sling it out i can stop a 90 percent chance in its tracks, if i decide not to a 10 percent will rain 2 inches.

I agree with all the above, I put out 13-13-13 about 2 weeks ago on wet ground and got .02 tenth and it melted the fertilizer. Sure is hard to guess on when to putt fertilizer out, with the weatherman missing the forecast for rain so bad. They will predict 1 to 2 inches and we get a slow .02 drizzle. Our average rainfall is already below normal for 2015, hope that does not mean another drought for 2015. :cry2:
