Wanted to hear some people's opinion on fence chargers. 40 acres single strand to keep cows off fence, also will be running 3-strand of 14 gauge galvanized wire to wean calves on 20 acres. Want something with bite that will withstand a little bit of weed/grass contact. Not looking for cheap, want what works and will last. I know opinions will vary. Also it will be a 110v plugged in inside barn. Thanks for the help

Pretty much any suggested and including Gallagher. Just stay clear of the discount makes. You may get lucky and get a good one but the odds are just as good that you will get crap

Check into what they actually give the charge at the end of the fence. Speedright for one will guarantee so many volts at 10 miles on a 10 mile charger. Some of the others will guarantee 1 volt at the same distance.
