I built 3/4 mile of electric fence. It is 4 strains of 12 1/2 gage high tensil smooth wire. One of the strains is a ground wire. I have a 15 joul output zareba wasp charger that is charging the fence. I have one ground bed that contains 3- 8' 5/8 inch ground rods spaced 10' apart that is at the charger itself. Then i have another ground bed just like this one 1300' on down the fence. One of the 4 wires connects the two ground beds. And then i also have another ground bed seperate from these two for a lighting diverter.
Now here is my question and i know i can call customer support to find this out but they are not open right now so i wont be able to do that until Monday morning. But anyway when i checked the voltage on the fence it is reading about 7.5 kv avgerage. Is that about the right voltage or should it be higher ?
