The county extension agent just left. He took some samples to run, but said he wasn't expecting to see my field in such good shape because of the area I'm in. No poisonous weeds at all, fertile soil (awesome to hear since I'm on a sugar sand ridge), and except for the torpedo grass taking over, he was happy. He said the cows and calfs looked great, that I was far ahead and had more knowledge than even some of the full time ranchers around here. Said I stole every cow I have when I told him what I paid. That was a nice pat on the back. All thanks to you guys helping me learn!
He doesn't expect me to have to lime at all, but maybe a little more N for the winter grasses. Should have results by friday.

I told him I had a whole bunch of mentors all across the world! He invited us to a steak dinner meeting with other cattle producers in the area on saturday. He think that I have something to offer the group, but I see it the other way around
