Several of my younger girls and the Bull are first to show up at the feeders this morning:

Cattle look good, they have some length and depth both.

Ours know the sound of the hay truck, too. They assemble at the gate, right in your darn way.

Thanks all. I plead guilty on the fat charge. I just worry about them losing too much condition in the colder months, however we haven't had any winter here yet.
The pastures often times could handle more head but I have found a number that seems to work even when the dry times come.
With my small herd and calving some in the spring and some in the fall I just keep one Bull so, yes, all are bred by whatever Bull I have at the time.

YUP, they're in good rig for winter - even my winters!!!
Can I ask, is that fat cover from grass/hay? and mild temperatures?

Hi Jeanne. Yes they are grazed and then go to hay. Those three girls should be having their second calves around the 1st of March. They also have grown some pretty heavy coats. Getting more seasonal now. It's in the 40's here today with wind gusts of 50mph. Would rather not have the cold nights and mild day temperature swings. They'll probably lose a few lbs. as winter comes on.
