Which is cheaper? Not a lot of wheat gets fed around me because it costs more. Wheat, and other cereal grains, can cause more ruminal issues if feed in too high a concentration. The more processed the meal is the more care you'll need to take. So start with mostly straw(high dry matter) and build up.Better wheat bran or corn?

Back when I was studying animal nutrition in college they said to limit wheat to 25% of the ration. Long enough ago I don't remember the reason. If what you call wheat bran is the same as mill run here it won't have a lot of energy in it. The rice straw will give you the needed fiber. The Soybean meal will give you the protein which will help to break down the straw. You might want something to give you a little more energy.
soybean meal have crude fiber max 4% and protein min 46% and wheatbran have a crude fiber like 9%Yeah, from the little I remember of my nutrition classes rice straw is more a filler than a food. so you're right there. Doesn't soy meal also have a lot of fiber? And wheat bran? Sounds a lot like fiber overload...
What you suggest for the energy ? Corn?Back when I was studying animal nutrition in college they said to limit wheat to 25% of the ration. Long enough ago I don't remember the reason. You could also tell us what kind of cattle you have and a little about what you do with them. Very cool to have someone from Indonesia here. Welcome!!!
so what your recommendations? Corn and soybean meal it’s enough? Because in rice straw have 3 or 4% protein2 totally different type feeds. Corn will make them gain... think pigs eating corn/getting fatter... Wheat bran will add some nutrients but will add more bulk/fiber...
Search the composition of them on the internet to understand what each will offer in the way of nutrition.
Here in indonesia better have a little fat and marbling , if’its not corn what then? That have energy and low fathttps://extension.okstate.edu/fact-sheets/nutritive-value-of-feeds-for-beef-cattle.html
It seems like you would have a lot of protein and fiber. Probably not enough starch, which the corn would fix. Depends on cost and your desired end product. Starch makes fat and marbling, but different regions have different preferences for the finished product. Also, as a few have pointed to "bran" and "meal" can mean a lot of different things, so build into any ration slowly.
