Are refried beans mexican? I learned from my hoochia (Indian way grandmother). Funny that my ex-wife never could catch on to cooking beans.
 
I don't know. Thy are just slathered all over every Mexican dish around here.
 
I still can't understand why they can't fry them right the first time.

Everything is better the second time! Well maybe not chewing gum or toilet paper, but most things are.

Can't argue with that logic, or is it an experienced observation?
 
the only time i eat refried beans is in some kind of chip dip my sister makes. its got a bunch of cheese, sourcream, refried beans and ground beef and she puts olives on top. i could eat it all day everyday.

i'm messed up in mexico living on refried beans.
