Found this in an old magazine thought folks here might like it. It's called;

REVELATION

When he first steps outside
He smells fresh country air
Cranking up his tractor
It shows years of wear

He has grapes in the Arbor
Dying on the vine,
Price of Beef is down,
But he's not one to whine

Plowing along the fence line,
He begins to understand.
It's not just the deed,
That ties him to the land

Out there in the pasture,
He feels the love of God.
Most of his neighbors
Write him off as odd.

After tending to the crops
His day is winding dawn.
He plans to keep his promise
To take his wife to towm

She waits on the porch
In her faded gingham dress.
She's the only reason
He feels like a success.

When she kisses his brow,
The Lord above reveals
A farmer is measured
By the humblness he feels.
