Farmer's fidget spinner?

The other day, while going to the garden to dig taters, I had a realization, we may have had a version of the spinning things long before the current version. I have found myself spinning those things just to be doing something while waiting around on a tractor, or sometimes when getting on or when getting through with a job.

Never have figured out why anyone puts a "neckers knob" on a tractor

We have them on all of ours... essential equipment.. spin that thing a few thousand times while haying, and if it's in the right spot, you know where the position is to go straight

I know a lot of people love them, but I have one on my hay tractor and it just seems useless to me. For some reason I much prefer having my hand on the wheel.

Have em on all my tractors. Can't see why you wouldn't unless you're doing mile long rows with auto steer

Put one on mine this spring,,tried to figure where the best location for it,,, so I figured about 5 o'clock would work....might as well closed my eyes and bolted it on,,,it don't wind up in the same spot on every turn...with the hydraulic steering.....never thought of that..

We have 2 tractors with hydraulic steering, and they are surprisingly consistent... once in a while you need to jam the steering to one side for a bit to work it over, but I don't do that more than a couple times a year.. it certainly doesn't change enough to bother me

I always thought a ratchet and socket were the original fidget spinner.

I've had a lot of tractors through the years starting with a Fordson. Internationals, JD, Kubota, Yanmar, Ford, Oliver and probably a couple of others I can;t remember. But I do remember I;ve never had one that returned to the same place everytime.

Did he have a disability? You may already know it,,,but its is against the law to have one on a vehicle other wise....

Don't have them on the big tractors, but sometimes wish I did. After a day of loading 200+ big bales my palm will get a little raw.

Why are they illegal? I was told a long time ago they could break your arm????
