Fajita craze

Knowing where fajita meat comes from, I always figured the fajita craze would be short lived. Now its just something else I was wrong about. It looks like they are here to stay.

Are consumers as fajita crazed across the rest of the place like they are here in TX?

First time I had Fajitas they were prepared by some fellas from El Paso that were up here hunting Elk. They were the Rivas family that owned a store by the name of M. Rivas and sons down there.

Anyway those were some of the best I ever had and I have been hooked ever since. If Texas didn't invent them they sure as heck made em great. :nod:

Many years ago ,In a cal. valley town, I ate some of the best Taco that I had ever ate..Went back for 2 more and watch a guy take a large silver plater lid off, there was a cooked cow head on the plater, as he sliced the meat off of the cows face into my taco shell i was not sure if I was going to be able to eat it..It was still one of the best taco that I have ever eat.

Doesn't have much to do with Fajitas. They are usually made from Skirt or Sirloin Flap.

Hadn't been all that long since brisket was a cheap, sorry, worthless piece of meat too.....
