I'm looking to upgrade my farm truck. Have eyes on a F450.

The engine shows to be a "V8 Biodiesel"....

Any thoughts on that engine. I assume it can burn "regular" diesel as well? Should the "biodiesel" be anything to be concerned about?

Biodiesel is usually cheaper, burns cleaner, and typically provides better lubrication, if it's bought from your typical convenience store. If it's home brew, all bets are off. May have to change fuel filters more often bc it cleans the gunk out of fuel tanks and lines better than regular diesel.

Truck will run fine on regular diesel.

Was at Lowes a few days ago. Up drives this shiny new white, F-450, 4 door, long bed, dually, 6.7, jack kit, don't remember if I saw the "King Ranch" option or not, large diameter, shiny alum wheels with short sidewall (60 ratio?) mud tires and all the whistles and bells. If It wasn't up around $75k I'd really be surprised. Beautiful truck.

Must be an older one, new common rail trucks are very sensitive to fuel quality, usually biodiesel does not play nice with them.
