How much extra hay do y’all normally buy or put up as a comfort cushion.

Where I’m the heck do you live. That’s a lot of hay per head. 15 rolls will feed 3 big cows through with winter around here

That's 4x4 bales fed to September calvers, typically feeding Oct 1 to June 1.
