Extended Tractor Warranties

We just purchased a 2024 New Holland Pro Star 75 less than 500 hours. Warranty until May 19 2026. A warranty can be bought for an extra 24 months for $3289 opinions from any one using these extended warranties appreciated. Also would you buy the warranty for the two extra years

It's too late now... but you should have made the warranty part of the purchase. The warranties are bought by the dealership and marked up to make money. I doubt the warranty cost them more than a grand. You can negotiate it, but it's easier of it's part of the negotiations on the tractor.

Did not buy from dealer just the first owner

Look into the fine print on what they actually cover. I've seen some "warranties" that don't hardly cover a thing.

That's a good point. A lot of extended warranties don't cover rubber parts. That means seals among other things...

The PowerStar 75 want have DEF but still has regen where a lot of the expensive electronic parts are to keep up if they fail. The cost of the warranty would be less than a lot of breakdowns if covered. This is basically a gamble if you are willing to buy or not.
