experience with 7.62x39 round nose ammo ?

Anyone ever use much of the round nose 7.62x39 ammo? I have a few rounds, just 2 strippers worth but I want to try some on hogs and maybe pond rats. I may order a lot more if they do more damage--Do they work better than regular ball rounds? (I've shot a few thru my sks, so I know they'll feed ok)

Does your SKS every have a problem feeding the standard soft points? especially on the first one? I find if I don't really just let go of the lever when I cock it, it will jam, FMJ's don't seem to be quite as fussy.

Would also be interesting to know of how that changes the flight of the bullet as well

I actually just got an SKS that my grandfather bought new in the early 90's and put away from my grandmother. Im thinking about dressing it up with some aftermarket nonsense.
