Well, just a couple items really...

Here is a link to a local couple and their corn maze for the year. Our small town is getting a lot of coverage about this. In fact, I received a call from my bro from CA and he was watching ESPN and watched the clip then called me up! I at this point did not have a clue that was the maze this year. Check it out, it does look pretty cool...

Real time conversation with 5yr son

Me - Do you know Brett is not retiring from football?
E - Yes
Me - Do you know who he is going to play for?
E - Yes
Me - Who?
E - The Jets
(Me with surprised look on face)
Me - Do you know that is not in WI?
E - Yes
Me - What do yo think about that?
E - Good
Me - Why?
E - Because then they will win.
Me - Who are you going to cheer for?
E - Brett

There you go.

OK, that is not even funny. ;-)

It is just un-american! Or at the very least un-wisconsinite

Most of my adult life the pack and favre were synonymous....I could handle retirement, but this?

I can't grasp this.... isn't that weird?

It just feels like a foreign language coming out of my mouth.

I remember when Pete Rose became a free agent and signed with the Phillies. That was a sad day.

Brett will find life is a lot different, media wise, in NYC. They are pretty tough on sports heroes.

Not as tough as Jerry Jones on coaches. He fired Landry. He did not offer to let him do something like be a scout or assistant so that he could bow out gracefully. Now the team even has a "star" who once treaded on the star.

It all just gives you a bad taste as a fan.

Good luck Brett. We'll always remember

They were talking about that maze on XM radio also, is supposed to be very spectacular.

Your son sounds very smart.

Boy! there must be a lot of pressure on A Rogers and the packer head coach and management. I dosed of in the 3rd quarter last night [bored] But the Pack sure didn't look to good. What if Brett has a great year and the Packers implode?
