How they come up with the values for old paintings by Cezanne, Van Gogh, etc?

4 were stolen from a art museum 2-10, totalling 164 million dollars, 2 were found but the one Cezanne is estimated to be worth 91 million dollars is still missing, plus another. Just was curious how anything could be worth that much money.

ive never wondered how they estb a value to the paintings.other than by who painted them.an how old they are.heck its hard to steal 200 million worth of paintings.much less hide an try to sell them.
