You know how some parents can raise little demons and be so blinded by love they think they are angels? Looking at the little self entitled brats you know dam well if it weren't for daddy or momma the little pos would be picking up beer cans on the side of the road rather than riding around in an expensive vehicle acting all high and mighty. I'm sure you know the type. Its fixing to get interesting around here because I'm gonna watch and see just how easily justice can be bought with daddy's money.

You see, a friend of a friend of mine was killed this weekend by one of these type kids. While her husband lay in bed with a broken neck she was buried all because someone didn't get their azz beat as a child. What's worse is this isn't the little brats first DUI. No, its his third. What's worse than that this isn't the first person he has killed while driving drunk but his second. Why was he driving drunk? Why was he even on the road and not in jail? Of course there is daddy. Daddy has lots of connections and when Obama got in office the boy's daddy got a big check in the millions for doing ....... nothing really. Just looked good and gave Obama some bragging power.

Anyhow, its going to be interesting to see what happens here. I told my wife tonight if that had been one of our children hurt by this guy I would simply not press charges so he could be out where I would know where he was and his daddy's money wouldn't mean a thing.

Yall have heard my rants about alcohol. My dad has zero tolerance for drinking and driving. He made it very clear before I got my first set of keys that if he caught me drinking and driving I would regret it.

I carry that mentality today. There is no excuse.

That really sucks, but that is life today. In this case it's an Obama supporter, but it wouldn't be much different if the tables were turned. I totally agree this kid needs a real tune-up.. A prison sentence with no soap-on-a-rope!.. Well, perhaps he's the type that wouldn't mind that all that much

Just a dang shame that this kind of stuff happens. People that get caught DUI, need to be charged with atempted murder those that kill some one need to be charged with murder. The judge and DA should also be held accountable, losing a family member to some one while DUI is serious , if it's your family.

This hits pretty close to home. You see, my daughter treats my Grandson much the same way. He's 14 now and he has never had to do anything as long as he has lived with her. I guess the only difference is that my daughter is not from the privileged class but she is a taker, a phony, a thief, a slut and all those other descriptors that define someone like that. I tried to raise my two children to be responsible people, to work for what they wanted, to treat people decently. One turned out OK, the other not so well. I get to see my Grandson this coming weekend and I will try once again to teach him right from wrong. God, please help me to do the right thing.

Same kinda thing happened about 10yrs ago where I live. Old man and his two middle aged sons owned the local NAPA auto parts store. At the time, it was the only auto parts store in town so they did a lot of business. One of the sons had a son that was a senior in HS. He had been to a HS basketball game and was leaving with a girl. He thought he would look cool by not stopping trying to cross a 4 lane hwy. His bright idea was to cut his headlights off and see if he saw a glow from the north bound lanes instead of stopping. Well he did this and never stopped, t-boned a minivan and killed a woman in her 30's. Never spent one day in jail, his grandpa/uncle/father sold the business and paid off the family of the girl he killed to keep him out of prison. Now the little SOB is a lawyer. Every time I see him in town I get sick to my stomach, he's a POS.

There was national rage that a 9 year old was given an automatic gun to shoot which led to the death of the single instructor with her. But you don't hear much of anything when someone with less faculties than a 9 year old jumps in an automatic or manual assault weapon and kills multiple people.

What's sad Jo is that what you describe isn't unusual. This case had the Fort Worth area pizzed off not too long ago.

I think it was Bez that said we don't have a justice system, but a legal system. And that is the best description I've heard. I have zero faith in the courts. When we have a law that affects every person in the US and 1/6th of the economy and one of the higher courts in the land rules on what they "believe" the law should have said and not on what it actually says, there is a problem. The problem isn't the design of the system, but the inmates running it and getting away with it.

The legal system is political like every thing else.

That was my rant during the school shooting threads. Far more people are killed by drunk drivers than assault rifles, pit bulls, and all the other stuff that makes the news. No one dares to touch alcohol though. Too much revenue.
