It is coming on that time of year where the lawn will need to be mowed at least once a week. Our backyard goes down at about a seventy degree angle and is a real be nice to mow not to mention labor consuming. The second year we were here I got some sheep to help keep the grass down but haven't done it again for a couple of years.
My question is what kind of sheep taste the best (lambs) to finish after they are done their job. Will by probably 2 ewes with 2 lambs at thier side.I will sell all back except 2 lambs which I will finish.Any suggestions from those who acually finsh their lambs and eat them.We are not a huge fan of lamb but we love Shworma.
Thanks

All we've ever had is Suffolk... finished out on corn and alfalfa they taste pretty good.

around the farm we had some little calves that weighed about 350 when we got them and then sold them at about 650 pounds. worked pretty good. but they got the whole yard and some grain and hay.
