Early oats, dry weather and army worms

Looks like the army worm has given it a bit of a hiding Fence. I like to get my oats in late summer or first couple of weeks in autumn to get winter grazing otherwise they go very slow and can't be used until early spring.

Lots of people taking their licks around here on winter pasture also. We had a cold snap with a little rain and people jumped on it. It's hot and dry now.

Yep...got a decent rain 4 or 5 weeks ago and 1/10th today. Is about 55F right now instead of 80plus. Guess it's been to hot and dry for worms....haven't seen any sign but moths were really bad several weeks ago. They may still be coming.
