Ear ticks

I've got calves with ticks in their ears( never had ticks in west Texas so this is a new one)
Will pour on take of them ?

Check the label. Some of the fly pour on like Ultra Boss do. Ivermectin does not!!! I think permethrin at least deters them. Like deet does for humans.
Edited: actually permethrin kills ticks and is an ingredient in Ultra Boss.

I noticed on the Ivomec bottle it didn't cover ticks
Sprayed with permethrin today
I'll see what I can find

I left tick country last summer cause I couldn't handle the daily search for ticks.
I was doing good till the seed tick showed up.... That and other things

Now I know what to watch for I can combat it better

I told my neighbor the flies were eating the calves ear off,
They were droopy and losing hair and bloody.
He said that's ear ticks,
They are scratching their ears with their back feet and that's what's causing it
I saw it 2 weeks ago but didn't know what it was
My mistake
My fault for not taking care of it before it got this bad
