Just thinking about planting dwarf Sudan grass for dry hay. Can you get by cutting it with a disc mower and using a tedder if you cut it at around 30 inches or will we need a conditioner ? Will it make good hay and not have too big of stems so they will eat it good ? Will it keep good outside in just the net wrap or will it rot quicker than grass hay ?

yes.

conditioner would be better but not needed.

knee high or below average size.

good hay.

not big stems if cut right.

eat good.

keep outside even with twine.
