Had a guy ask me for a raise 4 years ago. Went something like this.

Him: Well, is there anyway I can get a raise?

Me: What exactly are you looking for?

Him: I would like to make 15.00 an hour.

Me: I already pay you 16.00 an hour.

Him: But I have been working real hard and feel I deserve the raise.

Me: Ok, you got it. 15.00 an hour it is.

This came from another thread and reminded me of something similar I saw a few years ago before a televised football game. One team sent out 1 captain for the coin toss and the other team sent out three. The solo won the toss and here's how it went:

Player: "We want to kick off." (I think he had instructions to take the wind meaning, of course, that they would end up kicking off).

Referee: "Son, you have a choice between taking the wind or the football." (He's trying to help the poor kid out here).

Player: "WE WANT TO KICK OFF!" (He thinks the referee is trying to pull a fast one on him).

The referee, without another word, turns to one of the captains of the other team who smiles and says "We'll take the wind."

Reminds me of one of my dads favorite storys. A ballplayer and the umpire were arguing and the player threw his bat in the air. The umpire said "Son, if that bat comes down you're out of the game"
 
This is a conversation between a teenager who mows and does little stuff at a ranch I take care of.

Me... I am out at the ranch and the owners are coming in. Why didn't you wash off the mower like we had talked about?

Him... I did...

Me... Well its covered and grass and $%#*

Him... because I had to mow after I washed it...

Me... Why is the water all white in the trough?

Him... I painted the trough but I don't think I let it dry long enough before I put water back in it

Me... ------- :shock:------

Him... I was suppose to paint the inside right?

Me... Be out here is 30min... click

I am amazed every day... :lol:
