My jersey I bought back in may was supposed to be three months bred when I got her but she's starting to bag up and spring. Any guesses on how much time I have left to get everything ready? (My first calf)

I have to get some barns cleaned out and get a calf area ready. My neighbor is never home to keep his dogs on his property so I'm forced to bottle raise if I don't want my calves killed. I know the dogs will kill livestock because they've attacked my goats before

Anyone living in rural country (with a brain) knows that dogs can be shot if they are killing livestock. And they should be killed. There is no equivocation there. Dogs that kill livestock should be killed if they are on your property. You can call the sheriff if you want to... but I'd do it myself and if the neighbor finds out and has a problem, let him call the sheriff. Any dogs running as a pack are automatically targeted on any of my property. A single dog may get a pass if it doesn't exhibit any inclination to harass livestock, but if they have a chicken in their mouth they are dead.

I live with other people that don't really care about if my cows get hurt. And the neighbor is an old family friend so its complicated why the dogs can't be shot but if it were up to me, the second that golden retriever and German shepherd tried to kill my goat I would've put bullets in both
 
Well I would get everything ready. Guessing when they will calve is a fool's game even for us that have been looking at them for years. Some show way before their ready. Some the milk won't drop until the calf does.

I would get a pump up BB gun and shoot the dogs every time they got on my property. Sting them with a BB enough times and they will stay away. No on even has to know you are doing it.

That's tough. No good solutions there. But I like the idea that @bird dog floated. Sting them enough and they will stay away.

Are there other neighbors that are getting harassed by the dogs? Somebody should do something.

no it's just me that I know of I looked at my cow a few minutes ago and was able to get milk out of her though
