DST, the evil

OK, a lot of you who work in town like this idiocy. I quess I understand that, although you are dead wrong. The business which benefits is golf.
A hay grower can't bale earlier than 5 pm, in a humid climate where there is early dew.
Noon is when the sun is highest in the sky, and with DST, that happens around 3 PM. DST. Thppt!

I like it because the part stores in town open with the clock, not the sun.
And it doesn't matter what time the sun sets, people are going to stay up till 10-11:00 anyway. The latter they stay up the latter they sleep in.
As for me it doesn't matter. We're going till dark.

I like it . Gives me time to fish after work during the summer. I get off at 5 and can be on the water at 545 if I leave my boat at the inlaws . Trout under the birds makes for a quick trip.

Actually it didn't get daylight until 7:30 here this morning. Had plenty of time for early morning activities before daylight.

I had to take out a flashlight this morning to check cows before heading off to school! Hate this time, because the cows are usually still laying down and no heat activity can be detected when they are asleep.

What I am talking about is that without DST come June it would be daylight at 4:00.
It is 7:15 here now and it is still pretty dark out. But it was sure nice to be daylight at 7:30 last night.

I have no problem with DST. I work an office job so it's nice to have some light in the evening when I get home.

I dealt with it on Sunday but let my relief breeder handle yesterday and today. I HATE time change. I start at 2AM and some of my herds start milking before midnight and some after the time changes and everybody wants you there "on time" and the cows are not the same for about a week as they're used to the clock as well so it's slower going unless we're willing to do poor quality work and we're not. Plus this time of year it adds about forty five minutes to my day as I can't go through heifers in the dark but I have to start on the cows by the clock so there winds up being some down time in between cows and heifers and I'm at a point in my career when I just want to get them all done NOW and move on with my day.
